| _Guest_ | I'm mainly using the Wiki Pages and File Galleries... I have setup multiple groups to put Users in, and I have permissions set fine for the File Gallery to upload and manage files. My problem is the Wiki Pages... I have permissions set to allow editing, but I can't get them right for users to create Wiki Pages in their own Categories
I can allow the global permissions, which will allow creating, editing, etc... but it goes for all Wiki/Categories... I just want to narrow it down to their own set | [02:10] |

Yes, If I go to "Admin Groups" and use "Edit" from the wrench menu, I have the exact same name as my group under Default Category "Default category assigned to uncategorized objects edited by a user with this default group." When I create a new Wiki Page, I have the 2nd tab, which will let me select the Category while I create the page, however it does not check that category by default .. and Thank You so far, I wouldn't have thought of the options that get everything else working... this default category isn't a huge deal, but would be nice for our users who aren't necessarily tech savvy | [02:52] |

I am not sure wether the one or the other would be better UI/UX ... basically it should be consistent over all ... maybe ideally wrapped together to somekind of "this type of links/buttons" => pref1 link / pref2 button or so | [18:26] |
| chibaguy | Well, it's also a matter of user expectation. Links have traditionally been for navigation and buttons for actions, as far as I know, and from reading more expert opinions.
There may be an accessibility difference as well, but I'm not sure yet. I agree consistent styling is very important, but this is possible by consistently using text for links and bordered buttons for actions, if that's our design decision. | [18:28] |
