amette_: the clicking on wrench icon is bad UI issue - it should not follow the # link - actually it is supposed to pop-up a few actions choice on hover - bad idea, when most of the rest pop-ups on click
amette_: polom
luciash : thanks for the feedback! I figured that much out myself last night by comparing to another Tiki and now I am wondering, if that is some kind of installation/server issue... because nothing pops up when hovering... :O
... when using composer, I am told that I should install bootstrap something (base themes or such?!), so I figured it might be that and I installed 14.1 from tarball, but still the same issue. I'm a bit stumped, I have to say.

Dafuq?! Now the problem is gone?! :O
This must be the first time that a problem solves itself by sleeping. I did honestly touch _nothing_.
-: amette_ will have to install the original Tiki as planned next and see, if it still works

luciash: re-polom
hi amette and jonnyb
jonnyb: pompom all
amette_: moloq-er luciash
luciash: amette_: such symptoms usually happen when JS gets broken for some reason, usually some conflict with jQuery (can be your browser too)
then the pop-ups stop working and other oddities happen
amette_: lol
amette_: to the -er
amette_: ;)
luciash: good it solved itself by sleeping :)
amette_: Well, this is really not very satisfying I have to say... problems gone and not knowing why is always a bad thing...
.. next time I will go to bed earlier though. :P
But yeah, partial JS would make sense. *nod*
Because dragging around modules did also not work, etc.

amette_: Isn't it possible to have the favicon in the image gallery? I put "display4" into the "Site icon" in Admin->Look&Feel->General Layout, but nothing happens.
jonnyb: not sure amette_ maybe it's mimetype gets messed up or something
amette_: And what I have for a long time been wondering, if it is me or Tiki... but I start to think it's the latter... when I select "Social Networking Layout" all the main content gets overlapped by the header... which is not looking in any way as it should.. what am I doing wrong or what can I do to fix it?
jonnyb: i usually add some padding to the main container - about 60px usually i think
amette_: jonnyb : Well, in the HTML source of the page I can't find display4 anywhere, I do find the original tiki favicon referenced in there though.
aha, interesting, thanks - is there a reason this padding isn't added out-of-the-box?
Oh, but by switching to the social networking layout, I just realised that the site icon isn't the favicon! It's the "smaller version" of the site logo that is being shown in the social networking layout! That explains some things.
Ok, setting the favicon in the right place (Look&Feel->Miscellaneous) works as expected.
How do the "Site layout" options actually affect the layout? I do understand Bootstrap basics, but I don't really understand what the different options do. Especially "3 separate header, middle, footer containers with 3-6-3 columns" does not do what I understand, when I read it. So could someone please help me understand those?
Oooh, hang on, there actually _is_ a page on doc about that... just the link is broken and doesn't show the full documentation when coming from the Tiki admin panel. :-/
That's properly "funny", see for yourselves: this is the link in the Tiki admin panel https://doc.tiki.org/Look%2Band%2BFeel vs this one which shows the full page including all the "Tabs" (wrong word, I suppose!?) https://doc.tiki.org/Look+and+Feel
jonnyb: amette_: the layouts are different smarty templates found in templates/layouts
amette_: First one doesn't open the page as part of the structure, therefore isn't helpful at all.
jonnyb : ah, cheers, that's a helpful pointer! :)
jonnyb: i guess those pages should be merged and the crappy one deleted (and added as an alias)
amette_: I think the crappy and the good one are the same page, just with the proper URL-escaping the Tiki doesn't recognise it as belonging to the structure.
