server load does not look that bad... jonnyb: it's been this slow for months nelsonko: it's especially slow today jonnyb: i was hoping 15.x would help, with the better conrol on the stats logging but no nelsonko: it's going to take some serious profiling one of these days jonnyb: the odd thing is that my tikis seems to run nicely these days, so i think there's something about doc and dev that's killing poerformance there nelsonko: the other bug works

last year we did some profiling and performance testing on one of our other sites, took the entire team pretty much the week to identify and attack

that was action log, stats recodring is what had been hard-wired to be on until 15, so that should now be off nelsonko: I remember an issue with log size table on one of the tiki.org sites years ago jonnyb: but we should keep action log going to keep out spammers etc

All on Debian Jessie, but the reverse-proxy was compiled from source, but I guess it is not playing a significant role here. jonnyb: i mean from svn or ftp? GuilhermeBCM: well, if you mean Tiki I have downloaded the official release. Nginx reverse-proxy also a release. Nothing from development channels, only regular releases. jonnyb: ok, so you should have all the vendor files there (sometimes composer can have problem but that's only if you use svn to install, which we do quite often)

Also when I click on "enable css" checkbok when editing the menu it does nothing. I am almost sure this is something around my nginx config. Since this preference offers a robust WYSIWYG storage fully compatible to WikiSyntax (maybe minus extesive nesting of wiki plugins) I more and more love it and dare to offer it by default to users of productive sites.
But NEVER EVER WYSIWYG with HTML storage - too much hussles with over times braking content, sticked together tables etc, which can only fixed in the source of the page and what only advaned users do -- I do not give users WYSIWYG only to force them to fix edits in pure but cluttered HTML

I see this an absolute important crucial part of Tiki and maybe one of the needed unique selling points. I was supporting wikiLingo, because CKE/HTL was so disappointing. Sadly wikiLingo turned out to be a no-runner, but the WYSIWYG Wiki storage turned out to be a robust "decendant" that solved the problems we had previously

Text size is a tricky thing. In MS Edge, the default size is quite small compared to Firefox, for example.
Without adjustment, themes.t.o's font size is close to the size of other popular websites, on my phone, it seems.
I don't think it's a good idea to change the font size based only on experience with just one device. fabricius: Maybe we could increase only a little bit and lower down the range between heading size and text size - I agree that this seems a too big range
and likely then only a little rise of font-size would have a much bigger effect regarding readablity than would exect from a little rise ... yes the range between heading and text is massive
and you are right, I agree that (especially permanently or committing) changing the font-size based on only one device / browser / OS is a bad idea ... testing as many as possible is a better idea. chibaguy: Torsten, let's please have a discussion of this kind of project site change in advance. fabricius: ok chibaguy: Let other people check on their phones and so on, etc.

What is stored is the "wysiwyg" field which is 'y' when the post was last saved in wysiwyg editor jonnyb: wasn't that what i said? (a while ago) - same for articles Jyhem_laptop: so, switching wysiwyg_htmltowiki never was a good idea wrt existing blog posts jonnyb: at one point we had a very hacky pref that let you leave blog posts and articles in html always, or something (but it got removed and it was a very naughty hack - around tiki 9 time i think) Jyhem_laptop: I like to understand exactly what is already broken. So afterwards, I know I did not make things worse by making others better :)
anyway, the real conclusion is, my new correct upgrade script should ignore the "wysiwyg" post field. It should test for the wysiwyg_htmltowiki feature and do nothing if it's on
