Hello, I have serious problems upgrading to version 15.4 - can anybody please assist?
I am using LDAP connection - everything works fine in 15.2 and 15.3 - in 15.4 I get a 500er Server Error after logging in with an LDAP account - admin works fine.
I found the place in the code where the error is:
tiki_login.php :
} else { // Verify user is valid $ret = $userlib->validate_user($requestedUser, $pass, $challenge, $response); if (count($ret) == 3) { $ret[] = null; }
The $userlib->validate_user($requestedUser, $pass, $challenge, $response); does not work here.....
any ideas?

Hi my precious advisors !
We're installing a test platform for wiki (at last!) via virtualbox on ubuntu. what the latest version of tikiwiki on ubuntu would you advise ? Had it been a windows server, I would have picked 15.4, but is 15.4 available on ubuntu ?
and thanks in advance ;-)
the doc in the tikiwiki.org knowledge base mentions Tiki 12 and Apache2, MySQL5, and PHP5, but it's from 2011, so it might not be up to date ?
sorry i meant 2015

Padlock: We're still trying to set up tiki wiki on ubuntu... We managed to launch the whole shebang however we haven't yet set up a db. Is there an easy way to set up a db ? We've installed tiki 15.4 with php7.0
to be clearer : any advice on that part ?
fabricius: 38 minutes to meeting
Hi Padlock
jonnyb: getting food, back in 40ish...
Padlock: you just need to create a db and a user that vcan access it with phpmyadmin or command line - tiki will do the rest!
montefuscolo: joined #tikiwiki
fabricius: Padlock: MySQL 5 db -> create empty, preferably with UTF8 (could be fixed in the installer aswell) -> start yourtiki.tld/tiki-install.php -> click through and enter the db credentials at the appropriate step (self-explaining) -> click an some button like "create dataase" (or so) and go to the next steps of the installer until you get to close installer and enter your tiki (productively use the left button which
sry for typos

Hello, I am working with the messaging feature and getting errors. Both profiles have the "allow messages from other users" enabled in their preferences but getting strange behavoir. It is possible to send/receive by going directly to the profile home of the profile we want to send to and using the "send me a message button" Using "compose" or "reply to" do not work. We're new to setting up tikiwiki. Any help appreciated!
