Padlock: Oh crap, I forgot to log out yesterday.... Thank you very much jonnyb and luciash for clearing things for me, I'll try right now.
Hello everyone ! I am writing a wiki page using wysiwyg editor, and I can't seem to insert some code
I used the plugincode plugin, but after I hit insert, it just displays an empty grey rectangle
fabricius: joined #tikiwiki
Padlock: It's xml code. Any idea how to insert it ?
luciash: Padlock: weird, it should be no issue to insert xml in PluginCode
Padlock: can you doublecheck the syntax is right?
Padlock: ah, in wysiwyg, see the source
-: luciash suspects some <x> sanitization again :(
Padlock: What do you mean luciash ? (I'm sorry i still can't use pvt)
luciash: better here than private for me anyway
the page source button or source in wysiwyg edit toolbar
Padlock: Or maybe I see your name in red because you're quoting mine ?
yes, what shall I do about that button ?
luciash: yes, when quoting you at the beginning of line it highlights
click and see what is actually inserted in the {CODE()}...{CODE}
Padlock: First of all, how should I entr the code in the plugin window ? Shall I add a {CODE()}...{CODE} thingy or just type directly the code that goes <something>...</something> ?
luciash: you can do that manually between the CODE tags
maybe inserting in the pop-up modal window is buggy in wysiwyg?
usually it works though
in the plugin window there goes only the XML code in the body
no need to insert the markup there!
Padlock: I entered anything in the pop up wysiwyg window, then clicked insert, then switch to "source" mode and it displayed {CODE()}{CODE} so between both those i inserted the xml code (still in "source" mode") then switched back to wysiwyg, and still the same empty rectangle. And if i switch back to "source", my xml code is gone and only remain {CODE()}{CODE}
luciash: that is not good, can you try just not to use the plugin window and insert the code directly between the CODE tags?
might be even faster ;)
Padlock: I did
it just does not display anything, and if I go check again, the code is gone from between the CODE tags
Oh ok now it works
it looks like crap and it has no colors and no indentation, but it works.
And if I edit my page again, and switch back to wysiwyg mode, poof the code disappears
luciash: eh, weird - how did you setup wysiwyg?
do you have html purifier enabled or disabled?
Padlock: is that an option in tiki ?
to set up wysiwyg i only ticked the box I guess
luciash: yes, it is related preference on the panel (maybe advanced)
you can also search for it using the preferences search
Padlock: yes html purifier is on
shall i disable it ?
luciash: yes, try that
Padlock: no difference :(
I get to display code after saving if I enter it between CODE tags in non-wysiwyg mode, but If i go back to editing in wysiwyg mode, the code just disappears, leaving only the CODE tags
luciash: :(
can you please fill a bug report on https://dev.tiki.org about it?
Padlock: I will yes. Thank you for trying to help anywyay ;-)
All this would still be fun if I didn't have to operate tiki wiki on a virtual ubuntu machine that keeps crashing every 10 minutes, and the document I'm reporting in the Wiki wasn't a .pdf file with about 200 drawings in it, that I have to screenshot manually to insert them in wiki pages...
Tiki|bot: Recent Bug: - http://dev.tiki.org/item6285
luciash: Padlock: VirtualBox?
Padlock: yes
But it's ok, I'm feeling a little better now, because my boss finally gave me some sort of positive feedback, so I no longer feel like the work i'm doing will go down the drain
luciash: Padlock: might be your VB machine got low RAM that it is crashing...
yay! SVN server is back online!
jonnyb: pompompolom - i was just about to say the same thing luciash! w00t w00t!
luciash: :)
good morning jonny!
-: jonnyb waves
luciash svn upping like mad
Padlock: lol you guys are funny

03jonnybradley r61341 10branches/ 10(7 files in 6 dirs) * [MRG] Automatic merge, trunk 61330 to 61338
luciash: jonnyb: we do not do the auto-merges anymore ;)
jonnyb: is it on voluntarily basis?
jonnyb: not for a few weeks, http://tinyurl.com/zxzwyb7
luciash: just wondering you just did that?
jonnyb: Not really, but it's tiki so you can do what you like! :)
luciash: hahaha
jonnyb: No, 6th Feb - emailed the dev list too i think :)
luciash: So should we follow that and do not make the automatic merges or is it optional?
(just to make clear it can cause some confusion)
or we can do the auto-merges if we are in the mood
jonnyb: sorry it's not clear - if you can find a better way of putting than "Automatic merging?: No" then please do! :)
also "commit the fix to trunk, then backport to 16.x"
luciash: so does it mean the "No" is optional? or "No, you really should not do that now!" ?
I suppose it is optional as you just did it :)
jonnyb: i did? when? (didn't mean to)
luciash: 13:52 < Tiki-KGB> jonnybradley r61341 branches/ (7 files in 6 dirs) * [MRG] Automatic merge, trunk 61330 to 61338
jonnyb: that was a merge _from_ trunk (to the experimental branch)
luciash: aaaaah, sorry, that message confused me :D
jonnyb: https://sourceforge.net/p/tikiwiki/code/61341/
still no csv emails for me either :(
luciash: as it contains "Automatic merge"
yeah, the cvs mails were not fixed yet
jonnyb: indeed, but a different direction ;)

-: luciash wonders why we cannot install fresh tiki using cmd line yet
luciash: why is it not an option, e.g. sh setup.sh -i ?
or console.php... php console.php --help does not even list help of options available when db/local.php is not created yet
nelsonko: joined #tikiwiki
jonnyb: luciash: you can install a new database with the console command - but maybe it needs the local.php first? (i thought not)
polom nelsonko
luciash: yes, it needs valid local.php first

Smartwebs: Does anyone know why we get server 500 under iis with ldap enabled? I see other reports of this - was wondering if it was on the radar with anyone. I was able to test ldap with the script you guys provided - but within the wiki it's a no go. Even a wrong password results in an error; so I don't really think it's ldap per se

luciash: no experience, no input
