polom polom luciash: hi jonnyb jonnyb: hi luciash - thanks for sorting out Victor's email :) luciash: np Jyhem: Hmmm, a customer switched on "elastic search" unified search , leaving http://localhost:9200 as ES URL on a server which does not have ES installed.
Yet php console.php i:r seems to run fine ??????
Does the following mean it does all the indexation in the void?
[2018-07-20 16:43] Started rebuilding index...
PHP Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /var/www/virtual/intranet/html/lib/core/Search/Elastic/Connection.php on line 48
PHP Warning: Creating default object from empty value in /var/www/virtual/intranet/html/lib/core/Search/Elastic/Connection.php on line 48
Unified search engine: Elastic
PHP Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /var/www/virtual/intranet/html/lib/core/Search/Elastic/Connection.php on line 48
PHP Warning: Creating default object from empty value in /var/www/virtual/intranet/html/lib/core/Search/Elastic/Connection.php on line 48
Then follow the stats of indexed objects jonnyb: pompom Jyhem
should be more of a fatal error than just warnings Jyhem: Hey jonnyb. It should, shouldn't it? jonnyb: i'm sure it used to terminate with a polite error - is this 18.x? Jyhem: Either is stores everything in myql as a fallback, or it is consuming cpu for nothing
Yes, latset 18.x
*latest jonnyb: Marc's had a wish for a mysql fallback if ES isn't there but i don't think it's been done yet
maybe it's just indexing everything into that failed connection :( Jyhem: All the more vexing as mysql fulltext indexing does blow up and stop on « MySQL server has gone away » and followed by ugly stacktrace after "PHP Fatal error: Uncaught TikiDb_Exception: MySQL server has gone away in /var/www/virtual/intranet/html/lib/core/TikiDb/Exception.php:15" -: Jyhem wonders if « MySQL server has gone away » could be recovered gracefully (the mysql db always respawns) and let the rest of the indexation run its course Jyhem: it seems to be such a common occurence :-(
Interestingly, the Tiki still does searching. I wonder where? jonnyb: how curious... mystery index? montefuscolo: joined #tikiwiki marclaporte: joined #tikiwiki Caarrie: joined #tikiwiki Jyhem: for the record, the same database in InnoDB instead of MyISAM figes the same issue :-( SethE: joined #tikiwiki
