morning
i know that tiki recently had a 16th birthdays, but wonder if its future is also safe...it looks as very decent CMS in comparison with other ones, based on my research/experience and the other option - static site generators (like Hugo) - do require quite some additional setup to cover basic needs - comments, search feature, forms processing...
moreover, one also has to become familiar with some templating engine, CSS framework etc...
the only down side which i see is that at the moment i can't (easily) write Tiki content offline using preferred editor...

gour: there was that XMLRPC api which allowed to write at least blog posts offline... would that help?
jonnyb: pompom luciash and all
luciash: gour: no idea if that still works or if it is dead feature but you can check it out -> ... darn, the doc.tiki.org is down again?
yep, all three of them :(
doc, dev and themes
gour: luciash: i've tried xmlrpc from emacs, but it does not work
btw, what is with the sites which are down?
luciash: they are down
:)
temporary issue (I hope)

luciash: doc is back
I meant to post this btw: https://doc.tiki.org/XMLRPC
-: luciash spoke too soon
gour: luciash: i've enabled it in my tiki instance and by using Emacs' weblogger i was able to see the post(s)

luciash: gour: so it works? cool!
gour: luciash: not really...it fetches post, but posting is a problem...i'll try to explore another possibility - writing custom tiki (writer) for pandoc (in lua) which would enable me to use diiferent 'standard' markups as input and get tiki output
