hello
i just install a new wiki site with lts 18.4
create multiple wiki page but when loading one of those page it taking more then 6 second to load a wiki page compare to our old docuwiki that took less then 1 second for the same page
does anyne have this kind of problem with this version ?
anyone free to help ?
luciash: hi stef2019
stef2019: Hello luciash
luciash: presumably, docuwiki is one purpose wiki software, while Tiki has many more features, not only wiki and thus it requires more RAM
stef2019: i know
luciash: try disabling some features, plugins or remove some modules from around the wiki page
stef2019: but i only need to use the wiki part of tikiwiki for the moment for our techno team and want to have only one wiki software to support
done that already
luciash: you can also test if in the fullscreen mode the page loads faster
stef2019: but did not change a iota
luciash: do you use many categories?
stef2019: not have any define yet
luciash: do you have caching of wiki pages enabled?
stef2019: yes
luciash: what is your php memory limit? 128M is absolute minimum, I think you know that already, right?
stef2019: 256 M
yes i know that already ;)
luciash: k, if you really have only the wiki feature enabled, that sounds weird if it load slow
stef2019: i change it to 512M but same result
luciash: anything in your browser console?
any errors?
stef2019: i know
luciash: might give a clue
stef2019: i don't see any
when you mean the browser console , you mean the admin ui console ?
luciash: nope, I mean pressing Ctrl+Shift+I in Chrome for example
there is Console tab where you can see if there are any issues loading the page components
stef2019: ok the develloper tool :)
luciash: yea
is your wiki accessible online? perhaps we can take a sneak peak?
stef2019: all the time is cosume by the tiki-index.php if i load the principal page
if i load the principal menu it's taking about 12 seconde
6 seconde to load the tiki-index.php and 6 second to load the html web page
it's seem like any php page is taking 6 second to load
even if opcache is enable or disable
i am on php 7.2
and redhat linux 7.6
i got another tikiwiki 18.4 that when loading web page but not using tiki-index.php to load the page it's running fast
could it be that ?
luciash: hmm, not sure 18.4 is OK with PHP 7.2
stef2019: i can confirm you that it is :)
i have about 12 server runninh tiki 18.4 with php 7.2 and no problem
luciash: what you mean by "when loading web page but not using tiki-index.php to load the page"?
stef2019: on my server i got the index showing with the wiki page but on the other tiki server they did not use it that way
luciash: you mean using SEFURLs like /HomePage instead of /tiki-index.php?page=HomePage?
stef2019: yes
luciash: so why not to try that?
(although I have no idea why it would make any difference)
stef2019: i can , how can i do that :)
luciash: just enable .htaccess file (from the shipped _htaccess) and then enable SEFURLs feature
I thought you know how when you say you have already 12 servers running Tiki 18.4
stef2019: where do i enable the SEFURLs feature
luciash: in your Tiki control panels
stef2019: the othe are not vanilla site they are modify one by the internal dev team
luciash: but first you need to rename the .htaccess file and make sure it works with /HomePage
I see
OK
stef2019: they have work with Marc Laporte when they implement it here
and since then they are personnalizing their code
ok done .htaccess and work when calling /HomePage
nope same result, slow loading page :(
flush all cache and rebuil index, same things
fabricius: Hi stef2019, as luciash said - is the Tiki already online accessable? Just for the sneak peak.
