nkoth3if you are willing to foot the bill, we are ready to go. Right now, what is holding me back is that I need to get the signature of the folks who said they will pay the lawyer [00:10]

lq_993my gentoo box did update and by mistake updateted my 1.9.3 to 2.2, it works, but no modules!
and if i get it to show one, it does not show more than one!
any clue as to how to fix this?
or what's the difference in modules/menus in 2.2, compare to 1.9.3?
[00:17]

lq_639Hey everyone. I have added the permission tiki_p_edit pages to user Group Anonymous but when I click on a page to edit as anonymous it asks me to login. Also I've seen a feature that required captcha for anonymous edits, where was that?
Oh and the quick edit and stuff on the pages do not display. Where I saw the edit was under page list.
[00:22]
nkoth3maybe the upgrade wasn't smooth. did you run the upgrade script?

ricks99not "out-of-the-box", but you can use any third-party service.
for example, i use the js-kit service on some of my tikis
most require (fairly) simple tweaks to the base templates
[01:06]

luciashchibaguy: it's reply to "00:42 < MatWho> Please give me the name" ;)
so it's Tiki by the TikiWiki CMS/Groupware Project :)
[07:18]
chibaguyok, I agree with you on that.
:-)
Easiest way forward.
although "Tiki CMS/Groupware" also makes sense as the name of the software.
With "Tiki" also ok as the short form.
[07:20]
luciash(same like OS X by Apple or Windows Vista by Microsoft Corporation or Mambo by Mambo Foundation or Joomla by Joomla Project or e17 by the Enlightenment Project ...)
makes sense but it's too long and hard to understand for non-techie/non-english speaking users
[07:25]
chibaguytrue [07:26]
luciashi can imagine we can release also some other software/product under the "TikiWiki CMS/Groupware Project"
in the future
e.g. "TikiConnector" or "TikiDesk" or "Tikronyzer" etc. ;)
which could be different suportive apps and not Tiki itself as it is now
heheh, see http://www.joomla.org/about-joomla/the-project.html
coincidently above i see an "advert": "Get connected with JoomlaConnect" :-p
[07:26]
chibaguylinks to a community page, looks like, with news from language sites.
I mean joomla sites in different languages.
[07:32]
luciashimho if we would use "TikiWiki CMS/Groupware Project" for the Foundation/Official project name purpose we will also fullfill the "preserve environment" rule because it will still be googled out without change and we can use Tiki as offical software product name at the same time ;)
chibaguy: i guess we are here "alone" now... should i paste it to the devel list ?

Also the li items look about an em narrower than the ul, so a white background shows.
But they work.
You're right about selector dropdowns showing through. I think there's a hack to fix that, but don't know if we should bother.
[11:03]
luciashthat's weird, i have Tracker menu on the left which expands for anon but on the horiz css menu it doesn't, must be the cache :-p [11:04]

ZuLuI have a couple of questions, can I just go and ask them? ;)
Thanks a lot! First one, how do I get read access to the trunk in SVN? I just need credentials, but haven't been able to find them
[11:58]
chibaguy1Yep. "Jusk ask, don't ask to ask" is our motto. [11:59]
ZuLuhehe that's what I thought :) [11:59]
***chibaguy has quit IRC ("http://www.mibbit.com ajax IRC Client") [12:00]
chibaguy1Do you want to do an svn check out? Or just see the files via the web? [12:00]
ZuLusvn checkout would be cool
I already have TortoiseSVN installed and configured
[12:00]
chibaguy1http://dev.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=SVNTips has some info. [12:01]
ZuLuYeah I checked that out, but SVN keeps asking for credentials
I tried with Anonymous/ and Anonymous/anonymous but no luck
keeps popping up the user/pass window
I need this to try and solve my second problem: a bug with the administrative interface of the workflow engine has been introduced somewhere between 1.9 and 2.2, I just cannot pinpoint where the bug is (too many includes, templates and variables involved)
so I thought maybe someone had posted a fix in the SVN version
(right now it's impossible to use the administrative interface to move a process' instance from one activity to the other - in 1.9 it was working - as I keep getting a "Notice: this variable may not be empty: $_GET["aid"]" error
)
I've searched the Galaxia Workflow Engine forums, but they look quite dead (both on their former homesite and on the new one)
[12:02]
***Caarrie|sleeping is now known as Caarrie [12:09]
chibaguy1I don't know about the svn authentication problem. You can also use the web interface to see/get the trunk files, if that helps.
workflow development has been sporadic, to put it nicely.

luciashchibaguy1: great news about the IE :) [12:13]

luciash, any idea why ZuLu would have trouble doing an svn checkout?

luciashZuLu: did you svn co or svn something_else ? [12:15]
chibaguy1luciash, he's using TortoiseSVN client for windows. It's a gui that works with the Explorer file manager. So just a context menu for actions like check out.
(If I'm not mistaken)
actual commands are hidden
[12:17]
luciashyup, just to be sure he didn't click the "wrong button" instead of checkout or update :) [12:18]
chibaguy1right

megrimi'm having a huge problem with my tikiwiki 2.2 installation. using google chrome, i am unable to commit any modifications to a wiki page
it appears to me that tikiwiki is completely broken using google chrome.
[15:26]
ricks99chrome works fine for me (2.2 and 3.x) maybe a theme-specific issue? [15:31]
megrimfor example, I make the most _trivial_ change to a page, adding "123" to it, and it does not preview
all of my pages are created in wysywyg
google chrome just completely fails to edit them
[15:32]
ricks99ah... you are using wysiwyg. i guess that's why it is labeled as "experimental" ;-) [15:35]
megrimIs there any other wysywig that works for chrome avaialble
Well unfortunately tikiwiki can't meet my needs. we use chrome in our shop as the primary browser, and we need non tech people to be able t ocontribute to our wiki, so wysywyg is needed
[15:35]
ricks99i believe it works in 3.x [15:41]
