RobertPAnyone, I'm installing tikiwiki on a yahoo hosting environment, and they don't let you see logs. I've manually installed the database, and yet I get nothing when I try to navigate to tiki. Anyone have any ideas?

jonnybchibaguy: what's going on with templates/styles/fivealive/tiki-searchindex.tpl?
i have a conflict in trunk
has it been deleted in trunk and not in 5.x?
[14:43]
chibaguyjonnyb: I don't recall any difference in the two; they should be the same. [14:45]
jonnybit seems to have gone from trunk
and sf.net seems to not have a "show deleted files" button any more ;(
[14:45]
ricks99isnt searchindex for the old/tiki search?
searchresults is for the mysql full-text search?
[14:47]
jonnybi think so, yes
but i can't see why it's in 5.x now
looks like marclaporte edited it in 5.x a couple of days ago, hence the merge conflict...
:D
i'm going to say it's not a conflict - ok to not be in trunk but still in 5.x (need to get on!)
[14:48]
chibaguyfivealive/tiki-searchindex.tpl differs from the default in that it has the css dropdown.
that's not to say the file is being used, of course.
[14:51]
jonnybwell it seems to have been deleted from trunk
someone just tidying up, i guess

[14:52]
chibaguyanyway, fivealive/tiki-searchresults.tpl also has the cssmenu dropdown, so apparently that's the one being used.
(maybe I modified them both originally)
[14:53]

ricks99: searchresults is actually the oldest search, although in one way you could say indexed search is obsolete since non-MySQL DBs support was dropped.

xaviyes, I agree with ricks99: step 8 in installer with a clean install would be nicer if it didn't show the "upgrading and running into encoding issues? ... "Dangerous: Fix double encoding"
anyway, installer went fine for me
[17:25]
jonnybok, i'm at the "tag release" stage here
shall i go for it?
[17:26]
ricks99and I wonder about "01Dangerous: Fix double encoding" does that mean the fix is dangerous? [17:26]
jonnyb(suggest we fix the misplaced encoding message for 5.2) [17:26]

jonnyb curses his lamentable upload speed [18:02]
xavifyi: utf-8 of the db not set properly, I'm afraid. My first install was a clean install on a new db...
db created through phpmyadmin, and usually get latin1
I did run the installer with the forece utf-8 for new installations, the first time
[18:03]
jonnybreally? you created it with latin1 i guess [18:04]
xavieverything when fine, parently [18:04]
jonnybdid you try the 'fix it' button (the first one) [18:04]
xaviand nowadays, I'm testing the 5RC1, over the same db [18:04]
jonnybzip is here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1927369/5.1RC1/tiki-5.1.RC1.zip [18:04]
xaviand when installing it, I provide same db details: username, db, etc.
and I see then the "convert db and tables to utf-8"
[18:04]
chealerxavi: oh OK, I'll try checking [18:05]
jonnybi also checked the new zip locally - no sign of any funny Mac files, so i'll start the upload to sf.net (can always remove them if anything really bad appears) [18:05]
xavithus, I presume that previously was not set to utf-8 by the installed, even if the checkbox "utf-8" was selected at the installer [18:05]

so probably somebody changed it

but homepage did not changed

xavisylvieg, the behavior you explain would be even better , but minor issue, imho [18:16]
